Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolases (FBAs) are core metabolic enzymes involved in glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, and the Calvin cycle. A recent genome-wide study published in Frontiers investigated the FBA gene family in soybeans (Glycine max) to better understand their structural characteristics and functional roles in plant development.
